Dr. Winkler will delve into the pivotal role of the USS Langley in the development of U.S. naval aviation and its impact on naval warfare. Dr. David Winkler brings a wealth of knowledge from his extensive career as a naval historian. With over 25 years as the staff historian at the Naval Historical Foundation and roles with the National Maritime Historical Society and Naval War College, his contributions to naval history are profound. Dr. Winkler's academic background includes a Ph.D. in history from American University and numerous publications, including "Cold War at Sea" and "Amirs, Admirals, and Desert Sailors."

• Tour bookings require 48 hours of advance notice.

place details before your tour.
Groups of 10 more receive a 10% discount.
Private Tours
If the public tour hours don't work for you, or you would like a private, custom tour, we can arrange that for you.  Select "Private Tour" as the Tour Type, and complete the form.

Please note: All private tours include a $15 booking fee in addition to the ticket fees. We need at least 4 days advance notice to book your private tour.
Cancellation Policy:  If your plans change and you need to cancel your tour, notify us by email 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
